BMJC and MERCAZ-Canada will be taking part in Jewish Music Week in Toronto on Sunday, May 26th, 2024. (Lag B’Omer)
We will be hosting “The Afro-Semetic Experience,” a unique group of musicians who Nat Hentoff, of The Wall Street Journal, wrote “never before have I heard this lyrically powerful a fusion of Jewish and jazz souls on fire.” Tickets are now available and we are also looking for generous sponsors, both private and corporate to help us make this even an incredible success. This is the first event in Jewish Music Week, so tickets will go quickly. We will be holding the concert at the Borochov, and have only 340 seats at the venue. This is an early announcement as JMW has not published their programme yet, so you have time to get tickets before the publicity hits. More on the artists here: https://afrosemiticexperience.net/home Tickets are available at EventBrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-afro-semitic-experience-with-jewish-music-week-tickets-883330203417 |

If YOU were building a synagogue, what would be YOUR priorities? We have adult discussions about the parsha, about Zionism, about OUR roles in society.
Have YOU tried meaningful and adult Judaism, without the narishkiet? Join US and find out.
